Victory for EC Sartrouville in the men’s race sees them only five points behind series leaders in the men’s French Grand prix triathlon series and second place for Poissy Triathlon in the women’s all but secure them the title yet again.
The Grand Prix Lyonnaise des Eaux French triathlon club championship series concluded at the Triathlon de Nice Cote d’Azur with Les Sables Vendee Tri taking the men’s crown from EC Sartrouville and with Poissy Triathlon retaining their women’s title.

Brownlee brothers 1-2 with Javier Gomez finishing fourth in Dunkerque gives Sartrouville their second victory of the French Grand Prix triathlon series. Poissy’s Andrea Hewitt outsprints Charleville Tri Ardenne’s Emma Moffatt to win the womens race and lead her team to their second victory of the series.
Alistair Brownlee put aside the disappointment of the opening World Championship Series race in Sydney to record his first win of the year in a time of 55:49 at the opening round of the French Grand Prix triathlon series in Nice, France. With his Sartrouville team mates, younger brother Jonathan and their World Championship Series rival Javier Gomez, taking the second and third places the team also made a promising start to retaining the Division 1 team title.
